Tsarmina gasped as she looked at herself, she was wet to the bone! She leaped toward the deep end, when she hit the deep water she sunk to the bottom. She held her breath and looked around, what a murky pond they were in! After she ran out of breath she came to the surface, gasping the sweet fresh air.

Glacier was nowhere in sight. Then, after a few moments, his head suddenly came out of the water, for he had been underneath. Something wet and slimy was between his ears, but he could not see it. Glacier shook his head vigorously, but he could not get what he did not know to be a piece of soaked moss off. Finally, he dipped he briefly submerged himself in the pool again and it floated away. Seeing it, he was embarassed, for he must have looked silly.

Tsarmina laughed hysterically at him. The she took at huge gulp of air and went back under. She loved to see a different life, the opposite of hers.

He followed her down, also interested in what lived under the surface. Seeing a strange plant, he sank down to it to have a closer look. It was pink, and looked rather like a flower, but underwater. Certainly strange, but the plant was attractive in its own way. Glacier nipped it off with his teeth and took it back into the air to give to Tsarmina, hoping she would like it.

She looked around in utter amazment at the this wonderful new world of her own. Then she noticed that she was out of breath. She struggled for the surface, she broke the water and gasped in the dry air. She looked and saw Glacier floating in the pond with a beautiful pink flower in hid mouth. Tsarmina stared at the wonderful flower,"Is....is that for me?!"

Glacier smiled, not saying anything, but dropping the flower. It floated, and he pushed it gently towards her. He watched it until it was by her, and then he looked up at her with clear, dark eyes, an expression of serene love on his face.

"This is wonderful, thank you....." Tsarmina said as she picked up the flower in her teeth. She did not say how she hated the color pink, she wanted Glacier to feel good about this. She craned her neck to her right and carefully arranged the flower in her mane so it would not come out.

His smile broadened, for he was gratified by the way she had used his small gift. Glacier nudged her affectionately, and then swam back to the shore. Once his hooves had touched the ground, he realized that the excercise and the events of the day had wearied him, but he decided to wait for Tsarmina before he dozed.

Tsarmina came out of the water, she was shivering now. She saw that Glacier looked tired, so she walked out into a clearing and layed down. She kept her eyes open until Glacier cma eand lay down beside her, then she closed them and feel asleep.

Glacier laid his neck over her, trying to cover Tsarmina as much as he could to keep her warm. Flicking his ears to check for sounds, he glanced around one last time. Satisfied of safety, he sighed contentedly and closed his eyes, falling asleep quickly.

When Tsarmina woke up it was late in the middle of the dark, cold night. Blackness engulfed them and a cool breeze wrapped itself about Tsarmina. She stood up and shivered. "Brrr, it cold out here...." Tsarmina said in a low whisper to herself. She thought that a late walk in the woods of The Veil would be capital! So she walked into the nearby woods and started on a night journey!

Glacier, naturally, noticed the disturbance, and watched her leaving. He stood up after Tsarmina was out of sight, shaking himself, and pondering. I wonder if I should go with her? She might just want to go for a walk alone. But, it couldn't hurt, just to be sure, right? After all, I can't be certain what other creatures might or might not live here, too. He decided to follow at a safe distance, following her trail from as close as he could without being visible.

Tsarmina walked for a very long time, after a while she noticed something behind her. She turned around and looked quickly from left to right. She didn't see anything but she felt it, and knew that something or someone was indeed there.

I wonder if she's going anywhere in particular? Maybe I should just join her rather than follow her from a distance. She might feel my presence, and then I'd probably be scaring her. Instead, he decided to drop back more.

Tsarmina heared a swig crack. Someone was there all right and Tsarmina was going to it it. She galloped into the nearby bushes, she struck out in the direction she heared the snap. She hit something, now for the kill.
