Epona was glad Lightning returned quickly. She smiled at him then turned her attention to the mare that he had brought with him. "Hello I'm Epona it's nice to meet you."

Lightning was glad to see that Epona seemed willing to consider having this other mare in their herd. "I'll be back soon. I found a stallion to add to our herd."
When he returned with Barbaro, he introduced them to the mares. "Epona, Lady, this is Barbaro."

"Hello, it is nice to meet you Epona!" Lady walked up to her and bowed slightly.
"Hi girls." Barbaro said as he limped up. "I hope I won't be to much of a bother!" He smiled at them.

Lightning looked at Barbaro's hurt leg. That must be a pretty bad break. Not knowing if it would bring back bad memories, he decided to wait for Barbaro to open up about what happened.

Barbaro noticed Lightning questioning eyes. He lowered his head sadly. "A stallion that captured he fought me. He was much bigger and had a huge advantage. That is as far as I go right now. Later, I will tell you the rest."

Lightning nodded. "That's perfectly fine. You just got here and for now you need to rest. The ground here is quite soft, so you do not need to worry about your leg as much."

Barbaro started to lower his leg onto the ground. As it hit the soft grass he winced in pain. The pain Finlay subsided after awhile, but he did not dare to put full weight on it. "Thank you Lightning. I am very grateful."

Lightning smiled at Barbaro, knowing that he had been through much. He gazed at his lovely mares and nuzzled them both. Their pelts shimmered in the gorgeous sunset. He watched as the rainbow hues took their places on the clouds. It was more beautiful than any artist could capture even the essence.

Epona saw Lightning looking at the sky. She turned her head to look at the sunset. This was for sure her favorite part of the day, and each day she could expect it to be different. Not a single sunset was the same as the last, and the colors blended so wonderfully.

Lady also watched the sunset. It was so beautiful. The day was beautiful. She had a wonderful stallion and a very nice mare that could possibly be her friend.

As the sun dissapeared to let a starry blanket cover the earth, and the colors of the sunset faded, Lightning retired to the place where he liked to rest. His crown touched the soft ground with a small "thump." He listened to the small noises that the remaining wildlife was making, and he soon fell asleep.

Lady walked to a place where she could be alone to sleep. She lay down and began to hum to herself, for this is what her mother did to help Lady fall asleep. She is only 2, and the sound still calms her.
Barbaro noticed everyone was laying down to go to sleep. To bad I can't lay down... My leg hurts to much.

Epona found a soft place to fall to sleep. The sun came up and she waked up and greeted the new day. She saw the beatiful sunrise as the sun came up and the dew on the grass was wonderful to see.

Lightning walked over to Epona. "Good morning, Epona. The sunrise is beautiful, isn't it?" he said as he gazed at the hues that were painted on the clouds.

"Yes it is," Epona replied. No matter how many times she saw the sunrise or set it was amazing to see. She loved it and was glad to have Lighting there to share this moment, as it would look different the next day.
