A gorgeous mare galloped into the open field. Her mane and tail flowing behind her. Her buckskin pelt glimmered in the sunlight, while her muscles rippled under her skin. Every step, her daggers would cut the ground, and bits of it would fly behind her, only to land softly on sweet grass. Her orbs were filled with joy as she galloped, and her nostrils flared from pure joyment. This was the way she liked to live. The mare gathered her muscles and slid to a stop in just a few seconds. Then she was suddenly on her hind legs, fronts lashing at the air. She let out a shrill, loud, long whinny of freedom. She lowered herself to the ground with a 'clunk' muffled by the grass. The mare was powerful, and had a strong will. Her freedom would not be taken away from her very easily. A stallion would have to work hard. Her crown was held high, and her sides barley heaved, as the run had not taken much out of her. Somehow she ended up by a fall, in witched she recognized to belong to Claiming Falls. She did not intend to come here, but she didn't mind. A stallion would find her in Loner's Meadow anyways. She lowered her strong neck, and nibbled at the sweet tasting grass.

Freedom galloped through Claiming Falls, a high spirit in him now that thr weather was changing. He stopped by a creek and took a long drink of the cool water. He looked up and on a hill on the other side of the creek was a pretty mare. He looked at her for a while and then started across the stream. When he made it over he trotted up to her,"Hello. I am Freedom, and who are you?"

Chex snorted as she saw the stallion. She was not trying to be rude, but most times it seemed that she was. "Hello. Why should I tell you my calling when I know you not?

"You can never get anywhere in life if you do not trust someone. Besides? how bad could I be, I am from the light alliance." Freedom said.

Chex snorted and lowered her crown to take a small sip of water. "It is not that I don't trust anyone. How dare you say that. I have had a wonderful life by myself thank you very much." It was true. She loved being on her own. "But is you must know. My name is Chex."

"Thank you Chex." Freedom said. He also took yet another drink from the stream. "Do you mind if I going you for the day? I wish to see how wonderful it is to be alone all the time." He said.

Chex eyed Freedom for awhile. "Why not? You probably would hate it, because you are not like me. But sure, you can."

Freedom nodded his head, being patient with her. "I am sure I will like it, but you know better than me what it is like." He said calmly to her.

Chex smiled at him slyly. She then wheeled around, and trotted away. She looked behind her to see if the stallion was following her.

Freedom smirked, then he raced off. He passed Chex with lightning speed, he looked back at her and smiled. Then he returned his head to the front and picked up the speed, exsurting himself to the limit!

Chex rolled her eyes and almost smiled. She then geared up to a high speed gallop. She was soon side by side with Freedom, just beginning to pass him slowly. She had a few more gears left, and she burst into a faster gallop.

Freedom ran faster and faster until his head, neck, and body formed one straight line. He pasted her up quickly, he was not running his fastest. But he did not want to because he ran out of energy quickly that way.

Chex then geared up to her highest speed. She passed Freedom easily. Lucky for her, she had a lot of stamina from running a lot. She bucked a couple times, the eased back down and ran faster than she ever thought possible. Trees, plants, bugs and many other things whipped by as she ran.

Freedom was oh too tired of this childish game that she persisted on playing. He went to a canter then a trot all the way down to a slow walk. He watched her race on, not stopping once to see if he was there or not. Oh well, he thought, she didn't want to spend time with me anyways.

Chex rolled her eyes when she saw Freedom slow. She continued on, for this was not a game to her. It was life.
